Surrey–Langley SkyTrain - Elevated Guideway
PROJECT
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Construction of the elevated guideway for the Surrey Langley SkyTrain, a major extension of Metro Vancouver’s Expo Line running 16 kilometers from King George Station in Surrey to 203 Street in Langley City. The elevated guideway is an above-ground bridge structure carrying the SkyTrain along Fraser Highway, supported by concrete columns and built from precast concrete segments lifted into place along the alignment. The completed extension will connect eight new stations, linking fast-growing communities south of the Fraser River to the regional transit network.
